Our trip to Llanelli Wetland Centre
On Thursday we took a trip to the WWT Llanelli Wetland Centre and had a great time! Pam explained the different sounds that birds make and then she gave us some parabolic reflectors (we called them sound guns!) and we went out to listen to the amazing sounds of the wetlands. Then we went on a minibeast hunt and found lots of wildlife which we examined with magnifiers and microscopes. After lunch, we went on a walk around the centre and even had time for a quick play in the park! We had a great day, have a look at our pictures...

Number cafe 3
In our third number cafe, we looked at the sometimes tricky topic of division. Our families helped us divide by 2, 5 and 10. We had a great time again - it's good to share :)

Number cafe 2
We had our second number café and it was really well attended! Many thanks to all family members who came and helped us to multiply by 2. It was double delight for us all!

Number cafe
On Tuesday we hosted our first number cafe for family members to come in and "make mornings count"! We have been learning about multiplication, so we showed how we use numicon to help us to do it. We had a great time, many thanks to all the mums, dads, nans (and of course little siblings!) that were able to come along this time :)

Captain Buttons returns!
Last year we helped Captain Buttons get to Bounty Island, and some of us were wondering what he was up to now. So we emailed him and discovered that he had retired, but his son (the new Captain Buttons!) had taken over and would be in touch.
Today, we got a video message from him and a mysterious box appeared in our classroom in the morning. Also, Mr Payne and Mr Griffiths appeared, dressed as pirates!
Look what happened as we all turned into pirates for the day to help the new Captain B!
