First week back!

Have a little look at what we've been up to in our first week back. Reading stories, sorting sequences, building, creating, painting, mud pie making, cutting and sticking, working together as a team....... phew :)

Study ladder - online homework!

Study ladder is an online learning site for the children in the class. Look on the right under useful links and then click on 'Study Ladder - Year 1/2 homework' to go straight to a page where children can click on their name. Children can then change their 'avatar' picture and access specific tasks which have been set for them to complete in english and maths. There are also a lot of great educational games for them to have a play with. I will aim to set tasks on a weekly basis to reinforce work that we are doing in class. Welcome to the new school year! Hope you all had a great holiday and are looking forward to an exciting year ahead! Our topic for the first half-term is called "Family album". We will be learning all about our families and how life has changed over the years. Do you know what it was like to be a child when your mum or dad was growing up? What about your Grandma or Grandpa? Why don't you ask them? Can they dig out some old photographs to show you? Do they have a family album? Maybe this short video will remind your family about what it was like growing up in "the olden days" :)
