Our Minibeast lifecycle animations!

To end our 'Wriggle & Crawl' topic, we got a message from Dr Fran. She needed some animations to show the lifecycles of different minibeasts. So we picked our favourite, researched the lifecycle and made backgounds and models. We used stop-motion animation via the Koma Koma app on the iPads. Then we added titles and sound via iMovie on Mr Griffiths's Macbook. Here are the finished films, we are very proud and will be emailing them to Dr Fran! Happy Easter everyone!

We have been very busy researching facts about our favourite minibeasts.  We then wrote a script so that we could make a mini documentary using the Tellagami app on the iPads.  Have a look at our first batch...

Reading a story to Yma!

We have been looking at the book Aaaargh Spider by Lydia Monks. We drew our own story map to help us tell the story. They we read the story to Yma, using our maps. He seemed to really enjoy our lovely stories :)

Welcome back!

Welcome to the new school year! Hope you all had a great holiday and are looking forward to an exciting year ahead! Our topic for the first half-term is called "Family album". We will be learning all about our families and how life has changed over the years. Do you know what it was like to be a child when your mum or dad was growing up? What about your Grandma or Grandpa? Why don't you ask them? Can they dig out some old photographs to show you? Do they have a family album? Maybe this short video will remind your family about what it was like growing up in "the olden days" :)

Our end of year Video

For the last few years the class have made a video at the end of our year together. This year we have made one with a message. Fabulous acting skills on display and some lovely happy images to celebrate our year :)

Dens & Dandelions Part 1

We are so lucky to have our amazing woodlands right on our doorstep. We spent all morning there looking for wildlife and plants. Once we had identified them we made tally charts. When we got back to class we used Just 2 Easy on Hwb to make charts and graphs from our data. Here are the pictures of our visit to the wild, wild wood...

We are now Dragon Crafters!

Year 3/4 designed games for us to play, and then they came to visit us and helped us play them!  Thanks for thinking of us :)

Our third mission!

We are still hot on the trail of Sally Mander and have been following her through Canada. We emailed Agent Valentine when we discovered she was going to leave Canada and head for England. We received the following reply:

 

So we set to work, writing descriptions of Sally in Welsh.  We have sent them off so that Dai Border can hopefully intercept her tomorrow!
